Hard stop

A skipping chain is not a cassette diagnosis

Chain wear, length, joining, routing, indexing, hanger alignment, rear-derailleur capacity, tooth damage, or freehub engagement can produce similar symptoms.

Chain-to-spoke contact, wheel movement, hub damage, spoke damage, driver failure, or uncertain structure routes to whole-wheel and drivetrain assessment—not a cassette card.

A requested 11–30 to 11–34 change is a system decision. This page records an already approved target; it does not prescribe climbing gears or chain length.
